We recently had a chance to race MINK (HMCo. #733) against her near sistership NAMAKA and enjoyed a lively time sparring with another Buzzards Bay 25. In the photos below, all taken by Maria Baker, MINK has D3 on her mainsail.
While MINK handily won the first race in a strong breeze, NAMAKA won the second by a single boat length—and then took the decisive tiebreaker as the wind lightened. NAMAKA was awarded the newly established Carson’s Cup, named in honor of Noank’s venerable ice cream and coffee shop. We look forward to the rematch!
